Sunset before kickoff in Tuscon, Arizona
The Cougs have been on the road the last couple of weeks, and took a trip out to Tuscon, Arizona where they played the Wildcats! The Cougs looked good and scored in the first five minutes, with a goal from Jaiden Thornock off an assist from Carlee Holmoe and Dana Cusick. It was hot and humid and the girls had an great performance. Erica Owens made some amazing saves, and helped the Cougs pick up their second victory of the season!
Warmin up for the Arizona Game
The girls also had some time in before the game, and so they decided to go bowling! Who knew that they were good at soccer and bowling . . . There were some pretty amazing bowlers, and some that were not :) They had a competition against the coaches, and of course the coaches pulled off the victory! Maybe next time girls . . . keep practicing!
The Cougs returned from Arizona and spent the night in Salt Lake preparing for the big game against Utah. The Utes scored in the 30th minute, and were able to hold off the Cougs for the victory. The Cougs had some great opportunities, one from Jessica Ringwood, and another from Ashley Bazzarone in the last minute of the game that hit the top corner cross bar! The Cougs head into this weekend with a record of 2-0-1.
