What an amazing night . . . it all started when the Alumni showed up at 4:30 PM for their annual Alumni event! It was great, there were players from 1995 when the program was established and players from throughout the years, even our newest Alums that joined the crew last year! We had a great turnout, about 40 Alums showed up for the big game. They socialized and then got down to business . . . they still got it! They they had dinner and joined the other 4,922 fans to watch one of the most thrilling matches on South Field!

BYU is 6-1 and has now beaten 2 ranked teams on South Field this season. The Cougs came out strong, and they had their work cut out for them going up against an awesome Penn State team! The Cougs scored in the 13th minute when Jessica Ringwood scored off a beautiful cross from Jaiden Thornock. The Cougs held Penn State scoreless until the 29th minute. Erica Owens played an outstanding game, making numerous amazing saves! The Cougs pulled ahead in the second half when Jessica Ringwood scored her second goal off an assist from Carlee Holmoe in the 54th minute. Michelle Murphy would score a beautiful header less than 2 minutes later off another one of Carlee's crosses.

The Cougs broke the record last night, with a total of 4,922 fans! The fans were AWESOME! They cheered the entire game, and they always create such a fun, magical environment! Thank you fans for being so great!! BYU will take on Cal Poly on Thursday, September 13th at 7 PM! Make sure you come early, the Penn State game was SOLD OUT!
