Cougs Play First Spring Games

The Cougs had a busy busy day yesterday! They started the morning off at BYU's National Girls' and Women's In Sports Day! All the female sports gathered in the Smith Fieldhouse and celebrated the opportunity for females to play sports and the positive effects it has had on their lives.  The soccer girls had a chance to sign posters and even challenged the BYU Women's Volleyball Team to a game of volleyball. The girls did a pretty good job, and they gave it their best, but the Volleyball girls hit way harder then our Soccer girls.

Then the Cougs kicked off their Spring Season with their annual indoor tournament in the IPF.  Their first game was against Weber, and the game ended in a tie, 1-1.  Weber scored first on a PK, and the Cougs answered back with a goal from Rachel Manning.  The Cougs then took on UVU in the last game of the tournament and won 2-0, with goals from Rachel Manning and Kyleigh Royall.

The Cougs will now head to Arizona this weekend, where they will be play Arizona and Northern Arizona University.

GO COUGS!!

Women should be given chances to participate in sports as well and this has been really a good campaign started to make them take part as well. Actually I wanted to be a partner of a soccer camp so applied at Youth Soccer Camps to be a part of a soccer championship. To encourage young people as well the ones who wan to organize these camps can see this site for further details Youth Soccer Camps.
