The Cougs matched up with the Longhorns tonight on a beautiful, overcast night! Halfway through the first half there was a double rainbow, a sign of magic in the air! The Cougs hit the cross twice in the first half and had some headers sail over the crossbar! They had a handful of chances in the first half and were unable to convert any to goals.
They came out fired up in the second half and Dana Cusick scored an awesome goal form 30-yards out in the 36th minute with an assist from Rachel Manning. Then the goals kept coming with a goal from Michelle Murphy in the 65th minute, again in the 70th minute off an assist from Carlee Holmoe, then Murphy assisted Carlee in the 73th minute and then Linsdi Cutshall scored the final goal in the 85th minute to lead the Cougs to a 5-0 victory! Lindsi's shot was #3 on ESPN's top 10! The Cougs played an outstanding game keeping possession the majority of the game and finishing with 30 shots, and holding the Longhorns to 8 shots.
